Description:
This position requires staff to be self-reliant; versatile; comfortable working in a military expeditionary environment; diplomatic; and effective communicators. This position is available immediately and involves 6-month deployment rotations in Afghanistan within a Combined Explosive eXploitation Cell (CEXC) Lab.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Analyze electronic devices from IEDs for arming, firing, and source characteristics.
· Determine electronic/electrical characteristics, operating frequencies, and power.
· Analyze recovered electronic components (switches and power supplies).
· Support development of countermeasures for electronic devices/signals.
· Provide information to assist in profiling and signature analysis.
· Produce storyboards and technical reports on captured data.
· Maintain and document chain of custody of items and data.
· Transition next-tour replacement personnel on SOP.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 5 years related experience.
· Experience using spectrum analyzers, frequency generators, and oscilloscopes.
· Physical ability and commitment to deploy to Afghanistan for a period of no longer than 180 days, working 12-hour days 7-days a week.
· Familiarity with CIDNE, WTI Lexicon and SIPRNET.
· U.S. citizenship with the eligibility to obtain and maintain DOD Secret security clearance.

HIGHLY DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
· Experience in forensic electronics for military/civilian law enforcement.
· Experience working in a JEFF, CEXC, WIT, C-IED Team, DTK Lab, TEDAC Facility, or other NGIC, DIA or ATF Lab; interagency or state/ local law enforcement lab.
· Prior U.S. military experience; EOD or C-IED preferred.
