This position requires staff to be self-reliant; versatile; comfortable working in a military expeditionary environment; diplomatic; and effective communicators. This position is available immediately and involves 6-month deployment rotations in Afghanistan within a Combined Explosive eXploitation Cell (CEXC) Lab.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Organizes plans and administers logistic activities from concept to completion.
· Analyzes acquisition requirements, commitments, and design changes.
· Implements and coordinates logistic activities among all parties.
· Determines logistic support activities to expedite completion.
· Identifies and resolves problems with schedules and costs.
· Transition next-tour replacement personnel on SOP.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with a minimum of 1 year related experience in logistics
· Physical ability and commitment to deploy to Afghanistan for a period of no longer than 180 days, working 12-hour days 7-days a week.
· Familiarity with CIDNE, WTI Lexicon and SIPRNET.
· U.S. citizenship with the eligibility to obtain and maintain DOD Secret security clearance.
HIGHLY DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
· Certified as a Professional Logistician.
· Experience working in-theater (Afghanistan or Iraq) as a logistician.
· Prior U.S. military experience.
