This position is available immediately and involves 6-month deployment rotations in Afghanistan within a Combined Explosive eXploitation Cell (CEXC)Lab. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: · Plan, direct, coordinate, administer, supervise all technical and operating aspects of the Lab. · Develop, analyze, evaluate, and improve lab SOP and methods. · Optimize staff and facilities utilization and effectiveness. · Act as single point of contact for the Lab. · Report efforts to Task Force commanders. · Transition next-tour replacement personnel on SOP. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: · Bachelor’s degree (science or engineering and 2 years experience in laboratory management). · Physical ability and commitment to deploy to Afghanistan for a period of no longer than 180 days, working 12-hour days 7-days a week. · Familiarity with CIDNE, WTI Lexicon and SIPRNET. · U.S. citizenship with the eligibility to obtain and maintain DOD Secret security clearance. HIGHLY DESIRED REQUIREMENTS: · Experience as lab manager in forensic analysis in military/civilian law enforcement. · Experience working in a JEFF, CEXC, WIT, C-IED Team, DTK Lab, TEDAC Facility, or other NGIC, DIA or ATF Lab; interagency or state/ local law enforcement lab. · Prior U.S. Military experience; EOD or C-IED preferred.
