This position requires staff to be self-reliant; versatile; comfortable working in a military expeditionary environment; diplomatic; and effective communicators. This position is available immediately and involves 6-month deployment rotations in Afghanistan within a Combined Explosive eXploitation Cell (CEXC)Lab.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist the Program Manager, as directed, in the conduct of the following tasks:
· Manage all elements of program from requirement definition through cost and schedule control.
· Provide and present program status reports to JIEDDO and in-theater military leadership.
· Coordinate closely with the CJTF Paladin staff on all issues requiring its support.
· Supervise the implementation of JIEDDO’s mission.
· Assist CJTF Paladin to successfully accomplish its mission in austere conditions in Afghanistan.
· Lead coordination with CJTF Paladin staff in defining lab requirements; acquiring space and infrastructure; receive, store, transport and ultimately install laboratory equipment that will be sent from the Continental United States (CONUS).
· Manage and lead staff of the labs while facilitating smooth lab operation throughout the country.
· Manage a large geographically separated staff of over 100 highly qualified professionals.
· Anticipate vacancies, turnover, and other challenges while working closely with PM CONUS to ensure continuous quality results on all WASP program elements.· Transition next-tour replacement personnel on SOP.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum of 5 years experience in management of technical teams and programs.
· Physical ability and commitment to deploy to Afghanistan for a period of no longer than 180 days, working 12-hour days 7-days a week.
· Familiarity with CIDNE, WTI Lexicon and SIPRNET.
· U.S. citizenship with the eligibility to obtain and maintain DOD Secret security clearance.

HIGHLY DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree (engineering or technical discipline, Logistics; PMP Certification.
· Experience working in a JEFF, CEXC, WIT, C-IED Team, DTK Lab, TEDAC Facility, or other NGIC, DIA or ATF Lab; interagency or state/ local law enforcement lab.
· Prior U.S. Military experience; EOD or C-IED preferred.
